1995: Wanted to do art, found my vehicle with papier-mache . . . inspired by a show in a Madrid bar by Roger Gill. This work eventually got entitled "Los Mondongos" by my wife.
1996 (year of our marriage): "Frog vamp" Papier-mache. 1997: Lizard lamp on right. Papier-mache, recycled lamp, pergamino paper.
2000: Picture on left. Ink dripped on paper.
In the middle is a work we bought by Roger Gill.
1997: Discovered kinetic art . . . inspired by a show in MIT by Arthur Ganson. Even bought a book on electronics.

1997: Papier-mache, wire, timer, motor, cardboard gears. Cuckoo-clock idea, but changing to the roman numeral on the hour (I's changing to V, X). It worked, but I never let it go on its own -- too worried about it starting a fire. Intended as a working model, from which I build professional version for sale to Madonna. The electronics were a bit much, so I decided to save Madonna her money.

1998: Tried some stained glass . . . inspired by a visit to a stained glass factory in Allentown, PA.

1998: Chiffon fabric wrapped in spiral around bulb, stained glass, table from street corner, christmas lights inside stained glass and inside table.

1998: Papier-mache, glass. Design in bulb from pinholes.

1999: "Drops That Spot" Plates, mug, silverware, rubber gloves, plaster. The height of glory: I took this to get exhibited, and it got into a Sevilla newspaper.

1997 - 2000: Wooden frame, papier-mache, a few plastic things. A tape case to hold my prized tape collection (with scenes matching the music). My obra maestra was not well received by the critics (it became known as "El monstruo"). Artist turns to hard drink. Work left on street corner after move to Barcelona.
2000: Stained glass mosaic (glued to glass lamps) 2000: Stained glass glued to plastic lamps -- bad idea. Commissioned work.
2000-2007: Time for art loses out to parenting.
2007-8: Papier-mache, wire, light fixture. Reminded of my old fascination with fractals: nature's art. 2007-8: Papier-mache, wire, christmas lights.
2011: Papier-mache (papel de seda), wire, sticks, light fixture. Sticks are not easy to come by in Tenerife. We took a trip and found a few, then as we headed back, a car was blocking the little road. We waited, then finally I called in to the house to found out how long it would be. He invited us in for a glass of his home-made wine and he laughed and cried (telling us about his wife who had died -- he clearly loved her very much), and showed us the crops on his plot of land. In the end, we left with a bag of lemons, and some fine weathered sticks used for propping up the grapevines.

I think I finished this project with only about 6 hours' work -- a record by far.

2012: Paintshop fun.
2013: Drip paintings. Inspired by a drip painting we bought, and ended up filling the house with them. More of my drip paintings
